Elise Bailey Head of Compliance UK (AIFM) (SMF 16) & UK MLRO (SMF 17)
Elise serves as the Head of Compliance for Impax Asset Management (AIFM) Limited and has local accountability for reporting to the Board of Directors of Impax Asset Management (AIFM) Limited in relation to FCA requirements, including primary responsibility for FCA interactions. In this role, Elise is a member of the Impax Asset Management Group plc Compliance Committee responsible for providing the Committee with updates regarding compliance oversight in relation to UK FCA regulation.
Elise is also the Global Head of Financial Crime prevention and acts as the focal point for all activity within the relevant firms relating to financial crime prevention. The role is a member of the Impax Asset Management Group plc Compliance Committee responsible for providing the Committee with updates regarding financial crime prevention.
Finally, Elise is the Head of Compliance for Asia-Pacific is responsible for the oversight of Impax’s regulatory compliance activities throughout the APAC region reporting to the Directors of Impax’s Hong Kong and Japan regulated entities.
Prior to joining Impax in 2017, Elise has worked globally at several organisations – including ESG Asset Management UK, Qatar Investment Authority, Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP, Nomura Securities International and Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc.
Elise has a Masters of Law (LLM), from Kings College, London, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from New York University, a BA in Economics from Columbia University. She also holds certifications as a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and Certified Global Sanctions Specialist (CGSS).
