Overview
A thematic strategy focused on the environmental challenges of the Asia Pacific region. The Asian Environmental Strategy seeks to achieve sustainable, above market returns over the longer term by investing regionally in Asia-Pacific companies that are developing innovative solutions to resource challenges in environmental markets. These markets address a number of long term macro-economic themes: growing populations, rising living standards, increasing urbanization, rising consumption, and depletion of limited natural resources. Investments are made in companies which have >20% of their underlying revenue generated by sales of products and services in environmental markets.
Pollution crisis
Rapid urbanisation and industrialisation have created air, water and soil pollution.
Domestic solutions
Local spending on environmental clean up and natural resource efficiency drives company revenues.
Positive Impact
A focus on improving urban air pollution alongside water and waste treatment.
