Portfolio Manager

Stefan joined Impax Asset Management in April 2024 as Co-Portfolio Manager of the US Short Duration Responsible High Yield, Global Short Maturity Responsible High Yield, and Global Responsible High Yield strategies.

Stefan started his career in venture capital, after which he transitioned to asset management at State Street Global Advisors, working on a range of client-facing and management responsibilities for German and Austrian institutional clients and consultants. He then joined SKY Harbor Capital Management, where he was Managing Director of its German entity and Director of its SICAV umbrella fund. Later Stefan transitioned to the investment team as a Senior Analyst covering multiple sectors and was a member of the sustainable themes and portfolio management working groups related to their sustainable investment strategies, with over $2 bn in high yield AUM.

Stefan is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Society New York.  He attended London Metropolitan University where he earned a Master of Science with Distinction in Corporate Finance and Investment.
