Head of Equity Research
Ruth serves as Head of Equity Research, Listed Investments. Ruth’s core responsibility is to manage the equity research process, leading the analyst team to ensure the delivery of added value proprietary research and idea generation to portfolio managers.
Before joining Impax, Ruth served as a Senior Equity Analyst at Guinness Global Investors, covering the Sustainable Energy sector. Prior to Guinness Global Investors, Ruth worked within the Fundamental Equity division at BlackRock for eight years. During her tenure at BlackRock, she held several positions and covered a variety of sectors. Initially, she served as a Portfolio Manager and Senior Equity Analyst within the Natural Resources, Sector & Thematic Team. Ruth then progressed to be a Founder of BlackRock’s Global Impact Equity Strategy and Portfolios, serving as Head of Research with Portfolio Manager responsibilities, and Senior Equity Analyst covering sectors within the Environmental space. Finally, she served as a Senior Equity Analyst with Portfolio Manager responsibilities on the Global Sustainable Equity Portfolios, covering Environmental and Social themes related to Sustainability and ESG. Ruth began her career at Goldman Sachs in 2009 as a sell-side equity analyst covering the European Energy sector for six years.
Ruth holds a Master’s degree in Earth Sciences (MESc) from the University of Oxford.
