Chief Financial Officer
Karen Cockburn is Impax’s Chief Financial Officer. She is responsible for overseeing Impax’s Finance, Investor Relations, People and Legal functions, as well as Governance processes. As a member of Impax’s Management Committee, she contributes to the Firm’s commercial and strategic business matters. Karen is also an Executive Director on the Board of Impax Asset Management Group plc.
Karen is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ financial and operational experience in financial services. Before joining Impax in 2022 Karen was transformation CFO at Virgin Money plc, focused on the integration of Virgin Money and Clydesdale Banking Group. Prior to that she spent nine years at Aegon in various strategy, transformation and finance leadership roles, laterally as Chief Financial Officer of Cofunds. Having qualified with KPMG, she spent her early career with GE Capital, a global financial service provider, and Lloyds Banking Group. Karen is also a founder and board member of a digital start up, Legado Technologies Ltd.
Karen is a fellow of the Irish Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a BSc and MSc in Finance /Accounting from Queen’s University, Belfast.
