Senior Vice President, Global Product, Marketing & Distribution Compliance
Gordon joined Impax Asset Management in April 2025 as a Senior Vice President, Global Product, Marketing & Distribution Compliance, where he advises and coordinates Impax’s compliance efforts around sustainability and related reporting and disclosure standards. Gordon also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Impax Funds (Luxembourg) (formerly known as SKY Harbor Global Funds), which he helped to establish in 2012.
Gordon began his career as an international loan officer and as a foreign currency trader before transitioning to law. Before becoming General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at SKY Harbor Capital Management LLC, he was a litigator associated with the New York law firms of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP and Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, where he focused on white collar, internal investigations, regulatory defence, ERISA litigation and pro-bono criminal defence in the federal and local courts in New York. His expertise includes US and EU investment adviser and investment company regulation and related compliance, fiduciary duty, and corporate governance.
At SKY Harbor, Gordon was part of the pre-launch start up team that established and maintained the firm’s foundational legal structures, SEC registration, investment vehicles in the US and EU, and the firm’s global policies and procedures. In recent years, his expertise in policy, governance, and regulatory matters have been focused on SKY Harbor’s successful effort to integrate sustainability factors into the investment process. As a member of SKY Harbor’s Sustainable Themes & ESG integration Working Group he was tasked with providing thought leadership in areas of policy, compliance, and sustainability reporting.
Gordon holds a Juris Doctor Cum Laude from Fordham University, an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and has attended and completed the NYU-Tandon School of Engineering Chief Information Security Officer Certificate Program with elective courses on network security and cybersecurity threat intelligence. Gordon is admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut.
