Senior Portfolio Manager

David is a Portfolio Manager of the US Short Duration High Yield, Global Short Maturity High Yield, and US High Yield Bond strategies.

David joined Impax Asset Management in 2025. He began his career in the financial services industry as an investment banking analyst at Lehman Brothers. His investing career began at AXA Investment Managers as a high yield trader, progressing to Head of High Yield Trading, and finally to Portfolio Manager and Co-Head of US Investing. During that time, he spearheaded the launch of bespoke strategies that grew to over $15 bn in AUM.

David then went on to help launch SKY Harbor Capital Management in 2011, where he was Head of Investing. In this role he was responsible for the design and implementation of the firm’s investment process. Additionally, he led the firm’s sustainable themes working group and was the principal Portfolio Manager for their sustainable investment strategies, with over $2 bn in high yield AUM.

David has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Williams College. He is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Society Stamford.
