Eliminating deforestation from supply chains is necessary to achieve global goals for climate and biodiversity—and many of the world’s largest companies have commitments to eliminate deforestation from their value chains by 2025. Now the European Union’s Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR) has further raised the stakes for companies and investors alike by legally requiring companies placing products on, or exporting products from, the EU market to prove their products are free from deforestation.
