Jackie VanderBrug

Head of Sustainable Investing, Bank of America Merrill Lynch

Jackie VanderBrug is a Managing Director and Head of Sustainable & Impact Investment Strategy for the Chief Investment Office within Bank of America Corporation.

She is responsible for driving sustainability through the investment process, including thought leadership, strategy development, client experience and portfolio construction for individuals, institutions and foundations supporting both Merrill and Bank of America Private Bank.

Jackie believes that all investors should understand the power they have to make impact through their investments. Before joining Bank of America, she served as Managing Director at Criterion Ventures, where she worked with high-net-worth individuals and nonprofits on impact strategies and led the development of the field of gender lens investing. She also led business development for the technology firm iBasis, and she cofounded Work in Progress, a nonprofit social enterprise focused on career development for underprivileged youth.

Jackie earned her MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and her BS in mathematics from Calvin College. She is an Aspen Institute First Mover Fellow and serves on the Board of the Trustees of the Donations.
